Our National Partners

A huge thank you to our National Partners for 2023

  • Beers Without Beards

Founded by Amélie Tassin, this this is an Edinburgh-based group for women who like good beer and good company. BWOB meet up in local pubs, attend events and festivals, visit breweries and learn from women in the brewing industry.

They don't actually have anything against beards! Although this is a women only group, there are plenty of opportunities where members are able to bring guests of any gender (including those with beards!)

  • Brum Beer Babs // Attic Brew Co

Catherine Webber founded Brum Beer Babs - a group for ladies who like to drink good beer across Birmingham and the local area - in 2017. The group offers a welcoming, non judgemental space where women can meet up, try different beers, make new friends, but mostly have fun. Over the years they've organised craft workshops, brew days, beer crawls and more.

Since opening in 2018, Attic Brew Co has become a regular sight on taps across Birmingham with their flagship beer, Intuition, becoming one of the most popular beers in the region.

  • Crafty Beer Girls

Originally a London group for women (inclusive of all, including non-binary and transgender) who work in, enjoy or support the beer industry, CBG now also has a group in Manchester.

CBG was one of the first such groups in the UK and their popular private Facebook group provides a platform for women to interact about their own work and experiences.

  • Glasladies Beer Society

The Glasladies Beer Society is a community of beer loving women and non binary people in Glasgow.

Their mission is to engage with women and non binary persons as consumers and subject matter experts; educate these groups about the wide variety of beer styles available for every kind of palate and about women and non binary persons in the industry, both historic and contemporary; and to empower women and non binary persons to play a more active role in the industry as consumers and agents for change.

  • Hop Hideout

Founded by Jules Gray in 2013, Hop Hideout is a specialist beer and cider shop located currently within Kommune foodhall, Sheffield.

Dedicated to showcasing local breweries from Yorkshire and beyond, with over 400 beers and a quality hand-picked selection of ciders.

Jules is also founder and organiser of Sheffield Beer Week and Indie Beer Feast and is huge advocate for women in beer and other good causes.

  • Laura Hadland

Laura uses her writing to tell the stories of beer through the people and places she encounters. Her book 50 Years of CAMRA was named the best beer book in the world 2022 and she is currently the British Guild of Beer Writers Low and No Alcohol Writer of the Year.

As well as writing, she runs beer tours and tastings and judges beers, wines and spirits for a range of international competitions.

  • She Drinks Beer // Good Chemistry Brewing

In November 2021 Kelly Sidgwick set up She Drinks Beer at Good Chemistry Brewing’s award-winning north Bristol pub, The Good Measure. Since then they have welcomed women who enjoy beer to the pub for International Women’s Day in March 2022 and 2023, the launch of a SDB anniversary beer ‘All Welcome’ and every other month in between, as well as running summer ‘taproom editions’ at the brewery through 2022.

Openness, accessibility and inclusiveness have been core values of GCB since Bob and Kelly set up the brewery in 2015.
