The Women On Tap Access to Beer Project

  • Bursaries

We recognise that many women seeking to break into or progress in the beer industry are required to self-fund professional development and networking opportunities, take unpaid leave, and/ or cover costs such as travel.

    This becomes a barrier.

Our NEW Bursary Scheme - Beer Unlocked - provides direct financial support to those who want to access an opportunity but cost is a barrier to participation.

    Find more information here.

  • Buddying

We also recognise that the thought of going to in-person beer events on your own or as a newcomer to the beer industry can also be a barrier.

Our NEW Buddying Scheme enables you to request an introduction ahead of the event day to someone you can speak to in advance and/ or who can meet you on arrival and be a buddy - as actively or passively as you would like - through the day.

We fully brief your buddy on the types of things that you might benefit from before we introduce you. The level of buddying you’d like is then left up to you.

Women On Tap is piloting this new buddying initiative in 2026. More coming soon.

We’re working to make the beer industry more accessible for women.
