Since 2017, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside brilliant breweries and organisations who share a belief we hold deeply: the beer industry thrives when everyone feels welcome in it. The lack of diversity isn’t just a moral issue - it holds the industry back creatively, culturally, and economically. And meaningful, sustained change is not only possible - it’s already underway, but it’s slow.

With the support of a wide range of partners over the years, we’ve delivered powerful initiatives that have captured the imagination of beer lovers across the nation including WOTFEST, The Beer Glass Project, SUMMER HOP, and most recently the International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD). These projects have sparked conversations, inspired action, and opened new doors for women across the industry.

And the work continues to grow. We’re now preparing to pilot a new Bursary Scheme as part of our Access to Beer project, ensuring more women can access events, networking and professional development. We’ve also partnered with respected industry leaders to introduce new diversity awards and to drive vital new data collection - helping the beer sector celebrate and measure progress, and make informed change.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but there’s more we want to do.

Why We’re Launching Changemaker for Organisations

Until now, our funding has mostly relied on one-off project support. While this has enabled incredible progress, it limits our ability to plan ahead, build momentum, and drive long-term, structural change across the sector.

Following a recent strategic review with our Advisory Board - during which we refined our goals, impact measures, and Theory of Change - we identified a crucial next step:

To create a sustainable, year-round income stream that secures continuity, growth, and deeper impact.

Earlier this year, we introduced Changemaker for Individuals, inviting supporters to join from just £3.50 a month.

Now, we’re proud to launch Changemaker for Organisations - the simplest meaningful way for breweries and industry partners to invest in diversity and inclusion in beer.

What It Means to Become a Changemaker

By becoming an Industry Member, your organisation will directly fuel positive change across the whole beer community - not as a one-off gesture, but as an ongoing commitment to shaping a better future.

As a thank you, Changemaker members receive:

  • Quarterly impact updates – celebrating the outcomes your support makes possible

  • A digital Changemaker badge – to proudly highlight your company’s commitment to inclusion

  • Access to our network – including opportunities to share job listings, features, and industry news via our newsletter and online communities

  • A voice in shaping the movement – with opportunities to contribute views, ideas and insights

  • A copy of our Annual Impact Report

Where Your Support Goes

We are a certified social enterprise, meaning every penny we receive is reinvested directly into our mission - not into private profit.

As a small, values-led team with minimal overheads, your support has a fast and tangible impact. Membership enables us to:

  • Continue to exist, and to keep on pushing for change and putting a spotlight on women in the beer space

  • Deliver new initiatives to drive our mission - our Bursary Scheme and Access to Beer project is one example and we have more we want to do

  • Develop projects and programmes in collaboration with industry leaders, such as new diversity awards

  • Fund new vital research and data collection, underpinning industry-wide change with robust evidence

  • Invest in professional design and communications, so our campaigns reach and inspire wider audiences and get noticed by the people who can help us drive change

  • Plan sustainably for the future, enabling 3–5 year strategy instead of year-to-year unknowns


While community spirit and volunteer support play a role, we believe strongly in fair pay for skilled work. Sustainable funding through Changemaker ensures inclusion work in beer is delivered professionally, responsibly, and equitably. It’s important that we don’t become part of the problem by relying on free labour.

This is the easiest way for an organisation to support us - by becoming an industry member. As a thank you, we send you quarterly updates, members get to use our digital member badge to show they support us and our mission to make beer more inclusive for women, and there are other opportunities to have input and access to things like advertising jobs or other opportunities in our newsletters.
