Saturday 19th August 2023 | Peakender Main Stage, 3pm.

This year Women On Tap’s Rachel is heading to Peakender - a beer festival by Thornbridge Brewery, nestled in glorious Bakewell - and she'll be hosting ‘A Conversation with the Women of Peakender’ on the main festival stage at 3pm on Saturday, 19th August.

Rachel will be joined by Joanne Love, Julie O’Grady, Alice Murphy, and Rebecca Painter for a chilled-out chat about the beers and breweries they love, their roles in the industry and why they do what they do, and they'll be sharing some personal anecdotes you don't want to miss.

If you're about, grab a beer and come and hear from these talented women.

MEET THE PANEL:

RACHEL AUTY | WOMEN ON TAP and BREW YORK

Founder of Women On tap CIC and Head of Marketing at Brew York, Rachel has been drinking beer for as long as she can remember and is passionate about pubs, brewing heritage and all things CASK. Rachel will be the host of this conversation, joined by…

JOANNE LOVE | BARTHHAAS X

Certified Cicerone, podcast host, beer educator and Events Manager for BarthHaasX, Joanne Love (aka @lovebeerlearning) has made the leap from beer consumer to beer professional. She is proud to have the opportunity to support independent breweries and spread the word that beer is for all!

JULIE O’GRADY | NEPTUNE BREWERY and LADIES THAT BEER

Julie is co owner of Liverpool based Neptune. Head of Sales/Events is her role (though she is always juggling other things!). She is passionate about beer and would like to see more equality/diversity in the industry. She believes there is a beer for everyone, even though some may think not!

She is also founder of Ladies that Beer since 2015, which is an open social and education group that meets monthly, supporting women in and out the industry.

ALICE MURPHY | THORNBRIDGE BREWERY

Northern cask-fanatic Alice Murphy began her career in beer because of a love of pub culture. From there, she honed her beer knowledge & cellarmanship skills and eventually joined the ranks of Thornbridge in 2020, gaining her General Certificate in Brewing in 2022. Now boasting 10 years experience in the drinks trade, she brews on the original Thornbridge Hall brew kit and continues to further her knowledge with every chance she gets.

REBECCA PAINTER | THORNBRIDGE BREWERY

Rebecca (Bex) is Creative Lead at Thornbridge Brewery and has full autonomy for all branding, design and artwork across the Thornbridge portfolio. Bex combines a creative educational background with nearly 10 years of working in pubs, bars and breweries to visualise what works stylistically from a brand perspective, as well as from a consumer viewpoint.

Will we see you there?
